Role of the Transport and Logistics Committee
The Transport and Logistics Committee is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all transportation and logistical needs of the Association. The committee ensures smooth mobility, timely deliveries, and efficient logistical support for all association events, activities, and programs.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Transport Coordination – Plan and manage transportation arrangements for members, guests, and materials during meetings, trainings, summits, and other association activities.
- Logistical Support – Oversee movement and setup of equipment, supplies, and resources required for association events.
- Fleet and Vehicle Management – Where applicable, ensure association vehicles are well-maintained, serviced, and properly utilized.
- Partnerships & Outsourcing – Liaise with transport service providers and logistics partners to secure reliable and cost-effective support.
- Safety and Compliance – Ensure that all transport and logistics operations follow safety, legal, and regulatory requirements.
- Efficiency and Cost Control – Develop strategies to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and ensure timely delivery of services.
- Support to Other Committees – Provide transport and logistical backup to other committees to enable them achieve their mandates seamlessly.
- Reporting – Keep proper records of all transport and logistics activities and submit periodic reports to the Executive Committee.
