Role of the Training & Development committee
The Training and Development Committee is mandated to design, coordinate, and oversee programs that enhance the knowledge, skills, and professional growth of members. It ensures that all learning initiatives align with the association’s vision of promoting excellence in housekeeping and laundry operations while keeping members updated with industry trends, innovations, and best practices.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Training Needs Assessment-Identify the learning and skill gaps among members through surveys, feedback, and consultations. Recommend relevant training topics and formats to address these needs.
- Program Development & Coordination-Develop training modules, workshops, webinars, and mentorship programs tailored to the industry. Partner with experts, trainers, and institutions to deliver impactful sessions.
- Capacity Building & Certification-Facilitate structured training that leads to competency development and recognition. Explore certification opportunities for members to enhance professional credibility.
- Knowledge Sharing & Research-Promote continuous learning by sharing industry updates, case studies, and innovations. Encourage research and documentation of best practices within the profession.
- Monitoring & Evaluation-Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback and performance tracking. Continuously improve training content and delivery methods based on member needs.
- Support for Events & Chapters-Collaborate with other committees to provide training segments during summits, expos, and chapter meetings. Ensure consistency and quality in training across all regions.
